The first cut will include these functions:
- A user management module: Kete will be searchable without registration, but to contribute material users have to register.
- An administration module: - to create topic templates : defining mandatory and optional data fields for a variety of different templates - an editing facility : to correct obvious errors, reject inappropriate content and such like.
- Add / create topics and items: via a web interface or bulk import process.
- The ability to link topics to topics and items to topics.
- Discussion for each item and topic.
- Edit facility for topics and description field of items.
- View, compare and roll back to previous versions of a topic.
- RSS feeds .
- Openurl compatibility.
- Search facility
