Topic: Kete nominated for a World Summit Award
Topic type:
Kete has been selected as the New Zealand representative in the e-inclusion section of World Summit Awards. The World Summit Award (WSA) is a global initiative to select and promote the world’s best e-Content, started in 2003 in the framework of the United Nations’ World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS). WSA is an invitation project and a global hub for everyone, who sees the crucial importance of excellent e-Content creation within the new Information Society. The WSA is a global showcase of 40 outstanding projects, in eight categories, with a special emphasis on those which show the benefits of information and communication technology for the development of communities and society at large. The WSA Grand Jury 07, comprising 36 experts from all parts of the world, will meet in Croatia in September 2007 to learn about and judge the best contents and most innovative applications from around the world forming a unique college of evaluation. All nominated products from each country will be evaluated in a three-round judging process, and subsequently, the World's Best e-Contents and Applications (5 products in each of the 8 WSA categories) will be selected. We are honoured to have Kete selected for the evaluation process.
