Thank you for asking. Actually we are planning to localize kete software to Arabic along with our efforts right now to complete our localization project of Koha ZOOM 3.0 to Arabic. This leads me to wonder if Kete archecture is ready to lend its self to be localized to other languages, not only to switch the interface text to other languages script beside English (merely translation) but also to be able to easily control screen orientaion form right-to-left along with the ability to maintain user policiy labels or descriptions in different langauges without having to touch the code variables pointing to those policies descriptions. Luckly to say, kete FTR indexing/ searching is based on Zebra search engine which is also driving Koha ZOOM. Therefore our efforts with Koha will be utilized in enablig Kete indexing and searching of Arabic text.

Hello Walter,

I want to ask you please about a good reference to use for Zebra Unicorde indexing. We have the Zebra User Guide and Reference  and now we're trying to figure out how to enable Zebra engine for supporting Arabic text indexing based on UTF-8 code page.Any other refrences, hints, docs that we can use will be gratefully appreciated.
