There are two ways to upload a new theme to a Kete site. Both require you to be site administrator.
Both methods also require that the new theme fits the conventions for themes.
Method 1:
- Use the "add a new document to these results" to create a new document and choose the compressed (.zip, .gz, .tar, etc.) version of your theme as the file to upload. Any member of your site can do this step as long as they have rights to add things to the particular basket.
- On the resulting page (the details of the document), if you are a site administrator, there will be a link to "Make theme", click this and the theme will be made available on each basket's appearance preference page.
Method 2:
- As site administrator, go to basket preferences for any basket. Then choose the "Appearance" tab.
- Click on that "Add a theme" link under the "Theme:" section of the form. Upload your theme as a document, as above. You'll be returned to the basket's Appearance page. The new theme will be now be available as a choice.
