Topic: Kete Community Meeting - Saturday 1st December 2007
Topic type:
Registrations will close soon for the meeting to be held on Saturday 1st December at the Duxton Hotel in Wellington, so please register ASAP to secure a place.
After loads of discussions at LIANZA we have decided to hold a Kete User Group meeting in Wellington on the day after the 2007 National Digital Forum.
We think it would be good to get together everyone interested in getting involved in the Kete project to discuss the whole project. Business will include working out a governance structure, a process for shaping or guiding development, identifying paths forward for new Kete installations, work out or the different parties are and who wants to fund what etc etc. We will start building an agenda online - so please add your thoughts. See Related Topic below or click here.
You can now signup to attend the meeting by using the "reserve your place" button below. The cost is $120 NZD per person incl GST and can be paid by credit card. If you would rather pay by cheque or make other arrangements, please email kete at library dot org dot nz.
If you have special dietary requirements please send us an email so we can let the caterers know, and it would also be helpful if we knew what your interest in Kete is.
Note: unfortunately you must use this button for each person in your party. We apologize if this is an inconvenience.

said Venue Options
Pursuing 4 options so far:
Duxton Hotel - fully serviced and all day catering, central city (aka close to hotels and NDF venue), $65 a head.
Airport Conference Centre: as above re price and services, but easy for travellers flying out, waiting to hear back re availability.
2 other corporate options being investigated.

said Using Kete Community Meeting rather than User Group
Hi everyone,
Rachel and I figure that using "user group" may put off people that haven't yet determined that they will use Kete. We thought "Kete Community Meeting" is more inclusive.
What do people think?
Cheers,
Walter
P.S. - The stylesheets that I have grabbed from blog.kete.net.nz aren't completely suited toward working with Kete, please be patient while we work out the kinks.
