Topic: Image metatdata
Topic type:
This image http://tauranga.kete.net.nz/remembering_war/images/show/4358-the-haurakis-at-camp-c1910 Kete has correctly captured the description and imported it but there are lots of broken lines. Why would that be happening and how would I stop the text being broken up?

Sure. That would be helpful. You can link to the original topic here from within the ticket for reference.

Looking at the embedded metadata for the description field I see the original data has commas where the line breaks have ended up.
Essentially, in order to allow multiple inputted values for the description field (say that we have mapped more than one Import Synonym to Description), we build up a list of comma separated values in the internal programming (a Ruby Array for those in the know).
Unfortunately you hit upon a format that code thinks is a comma separated list that should be concatenated together as separate paragraphs.
It would be great if you could file a bug report for this issue. Here's how:

By filing a ticket, you'll be notified when the issue has been dealt with. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
