A follow up to a feature that Paul Sutherland mentioned offline recently.
According to Paul in WordPress you may simply drop in a link to things from certain site's content, like a youtube video, and they will be transformed embedded objects automatically.
A new Ruby on Rails plugin offers this functionality. It could be integrated into Kete, though the amount of work necessary hasn't been researched yet.

It looks extendible, so we may be able to add recognition of other Kete sites to the functionality.
