i created it by copying the english one ' en.yml' with ar.yml name and changed the first line to ar:
the error changed to be LOCALE_NAME (translated translation name) is not set. Please set one before running the rake task
Can you confirm that you have a file found at your_app/config/locales/ar.yml, please? Judging by your other recent comment, you haven't successfully created the ar locale file to actually save the translations
Just off the top of my head it looks like perhaps the documentation for the feature is wrong about the name of the environmental variable. Try this: rake translate:create LOCALE_CODE=ar
